Through the Armainvilliers Forest to Tournan-en-Brie
This time we'll head East, catching the RER E, direction Tournan, at 9h49 from the Haussmann St Lazare station (a new station which is at 22 rue Jonbert, near St Lazare, and which you can get to on metro lines 12,13, 3 and 9). We get off the train at Ozoir-la-Ferrière, arriving there at 10h28. We'll meet up either at the Haussmann St Lazare station in front of the third to last train car or at the station in Ozoir-la-Ferrière on our arrival there. After crossing the farming village of Favières, we set off into the forest and later come out into fields, ending up in the fortified town of Tournan. Trains from Tournan back to Paris leave every half an hour and take 40 minutes.
This hike is 18 kms long and should take us about 5 1/2 hours, counting lunch and rests, so that we should arrive back in Paris at about 5 pm.
