Marseilles-based Julien Lourau is a well-known French jazz/blues saxophonist whose group is named after the city in which they made their debut performance. After a period in electro jazz in the 90’s he has returned to more traditional jazz, respecting the fundamentals of a jazz quartet and composing, with talent and imagination, original, but totally accessible, tunes.
