Discover the excitement of thoroughbred racing in France with an insider's tour guided by Gina Rarick (www.gallopfrance.com), currently the only American professional racehorse trainer in France and the first American woman granted a license here. Starting with a BYO picnic lunch in the infield of this historic racecourse, Gina will explain how racing works in France. After lunch there will be a tour of the track, the weighing room where the jockeys prepare for the races, the stabling/saddling enclosures and, if possible, a trip down to the starting gates to watch the horses jump out for a race. Dress for changeable weather! Please reserve your place early. This has proved to be a very popular event in past years and we need to give Longchamp advance notice for picnic tables. |
